Health Blog-Let's prepare the intestinal environment

April is the start of a new year, and it's a time when I'm often nervous.

If you get nervous, you may have a stomachache.

So this time, I will talk about the intestinal environment.

As many as 100 trillion bacteria of 1000 types live in the intestines.

This bacterium is a collection of bacteria with similar properties that form colonies that form an ecosystem throughout the intestine.

This state is likened to a flower field (flora) and is called "intestinal flora".

Gut bacteria include good bacteria (Bifidobacterium lactic acid bacteria) and bad bacteria (Staphylococcus Escherichia coli Welsh bacteria)

And there are opportunistic bacteria that can be good or bad depending on the environment.

Good bacteria prevent the increase of bad bacteria and help harmful substances to get out of the body.

Good bacteria and bad bacteria are always fighting in the intestines. If the good bacteria are dominant, the power to become healthy works, and if the bad bacteria are dominant, diarrhea and constipation occur. Bad bacteria produce putrefactive substances that can cause illness if they flow from the intestinal wall throughout the body.

So why does the number of bad bacteria increase? It is due to the decrease in immune function due to daily eating habits and aging.

If you continue to eat a diet high in protein, mainly meat, the protein that was not absorbed by the body will be caused by bad bacteria.

It can be turned into a toxic substance,

Also, stress is not good for the intestines, it affects the autonomic nerves and increases bad bacteria.

Good bacteria increase immunity, suppress the action of bad bacteria that produce carcinogens, prevent and improve constipation and diarrhea, and lower cholesterol.

It is better to take lactic acid bacteria (cheese, yogurt, lactic acid bacteria beverage, kimchi, miso, soy sauce, pickles, sake).

And oligosaccharides and dietary fiber (soy onions, his burdock banana asparagus garlic), which are nutrient sources for good bacteria

It is more effective when taken together.

Bacteria in the intestines are excreted daily, so it is recommended to take them daily and replenish them in the intestines.

NG habits that worsen the intestinal environment (supervised by Yuji Naito, Department of Gastroenterology, Kyoto Prefectural Medical University)

・ I eat only the same menu items every day

・ I like alcohol and drink too much

・ A lot of desk work

・ I rarely exercise

・ Life is irregular

·Lack of sleep

・ Drinking antibiotics

・ I'm feeling stressed

"Yogurt for snacks" "Fermented foods such as kimchi are always in the refrigerator" to improve the intestinal environment

It is important to keep it for a long time every day by making it reasonable, such as "add miso soup to your meal."
